This is the first course in the website development sequence. The student is introduced to fundamental concepts needed to design and build a website. Topics introduced include purpose definition, audience definition, content planning, structure design, elementary page design, and typography/color considerations. Students are required to develop and present a final website project using a web authoring tool (Dreamweaver CS3) and concepts learned in the course. This is a "hands-on" keyboarding course.

This is the second course in the website development sequence. The web page and website design princiales will be reinforced while the student studies the syntax and semantics of XHTML and CSS tags. Students will explore World Wide Web (WWW) concepts such as client/server, and search engine optimization. Students are required to develop and present a final hand coded project. the course also contains an optional service learning component or assignment. This is a "hands-on" keyboard coding course.
